WACREC Clinical Research Management (WACREC) was founded
with a view to bringing reliable clinical trials related support services to,
CROs, PHARMA and DEVICE companies, Academic Institutions, and
NGOs, interested in conducting successful Clinical trials and In Vitro
Diagnostics (IVD) research.
WACREC is a site management organization that specializes in
managing clinical trials/medical research sites. WACREC has developed
a database of a network of Clinical research sites (Teaching Hospitals,
Regional and District Hospitals, Clinics, Research Institutions, as well
as Academic Institutions)and Research Investigators both experienced
in their various fields and young investigators, graduate students etc.

We offer operational, regulatory and other centralized research support services for sites on industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated trials. We work to ensure optimal use of clinical trial time and resources.

Global Health and Infectious Diseases research group at Kumasi Centre of Collaborative Research in Tropical Medicine (KCCR-KNUST) is a multi-disciplinary team with skills and expertise in conducting clinical research (including trial) and field epidemiologic studies within the LMIC context. The group collaborates closely with international, national, and subnational institutions and organizations in both public and private sectors to answer globally relevant research questions, applying scientifically rigorous and innovative methods.
Quality assurance (QA) plays an important role in the data integrity of clinical research. Good clinical practice defines quality assurance as the systematic and independent examination of all trial-related activities and documents. Audits determine whether the evaluated activities were appropriately conducted and data generated, recorded, analyzed, and accurately reported according to protocol, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and good clinical practices (GCPs).
